American Corner

The American Corner is one of the dislocated branches of the Belgrade City Library. It was founded on May 16, 2003, through the partnership of the City Library with the US Embassy in Belgrade. Since 2006, it has been located on the first floor of the Belgrade Youth Center, when this cultural institution joined the project.

American Corner offers users numerous sources of information through book collections, serial publications, multimedia content and databases, and diverse free programs intended for all interested citizens.

This branch’s specific and unique holdings include over 5,500 publications in English. The fund consists of fiction, professional and reference literature, and part of the collection is also available to users on Kindle readers.

The American Corner has space for organizing programs such as creative workshops, lectures, film screenings, panels, and meetings and space for reading and studying.

In a pleasant and bright environment in the city centre, the librarians will be at your service if you want to borrow your favourite book or magazine or if you want to participate in our activities.
