Technoteka
“Technoteka” is a specially designed space within the Children’s department “Neven”, equipped with various digital tools and learning materials: a 3D printer, 3D scanner, 3D pen, Lego Education robots WeDo2 and EV3, Lego storytelling kits, glasses for virtual reality Samsung Gear VR, computers, tablets…
Technoteka is the first such library space in Serbia and among the first in the region. Built on the model of a modern library concept – maker space, in which users, through joint work and play, with the help of modern technologies, acquire new knowledge and skills, experiment and build different products.
Various workshops are held in this space, such as modelling and printing workshops on a 3D printer and workshops for learning to program with Lego robots.
By launching the Technoteka, BCL continued to change the professional and general public perception of what a modern library can and should be.
